My Review…
I REALLY enjoyed A Surrendered Heart which is book 3 in the Broadmoor Legacy series and I definitely want to read the first two!
This book had it all and I can’t imagine what the first two contained with all that is in this one! The plot was extremely strong and packed full of story line twists and turns, sub plots, romance, family espionage, death, and the list goes on.
The characters were very well-developed, 3 dimensional with a wide range of personalities with foibles and failures ingrained. There are several interesting family dynamics going on between siblings, cousins as well as parents and children. There are several characters you will dislike but many others that you will come to enjoy greatly. The typical story line of the wealthy that will do just about anything to ensure their family’s continued wealth and esteem in society during the age of the late 1800’s is in play during the story in fine form. I think it is that way of viewing life that we love to despise – the rich who can’t bear to live like “us”.
There are so many characters in this novel, some of which were introduced in earlier novels that it would be difficult to comment on all. However, suffice it to say that there are many and they are very entertaining throughout the novel.
Tracie Peterson and Judith Pella do not fail to entertain in both settings of elegance or poverty in A Surrendered Heart. You won’t be disappointed with this novel!
