Beverly LaHaye

Beverly LaHaye has co-authored many books with her husband, Tim LaHaye, on the subject of marriage. This is the first fictitious novel of hers that I have read.

Mrs. Beverly LaHaye Founder and Chairman, CWA The Beverly LaHaye Institute: A Center for Studies in Women's Issues, is named for the founder and chairman of Concerned Women for America . The Board of Directors for CWA wanted to honor Mrs. LaHaye on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of CWA. They believed that nothing would epitomize Mrs. LaHaye's commitment to women more than a center devoted to excellence in women's studies from the perspective of biblical values and beliefs. In an interview once, Mrs. LaHaye said, "When you're talking about family issues, women can be very strong, very tough . . . The average American woman has endurance and is willing to give of herself for what she believes is right." Since that time, Mrs. LaHaye has proved very strong and tough and she has given of herself for the causes that she believes are right. In the process, she has become one of the most admired women in America. One of the earliest motivators propelling her from her comfortable life as a pastor's wife and family-life seminar leader with her husband, was the realization that feminists were claiming to speak for all women when their ideas and values were abhorrent to the majority of American women. Since a kitchen-table discussion about the things that troubled them 20 years ago, Concerned Women for America has grown from half a dozen "concerned" women to a powerful organization that now numbers close to 600,000 members. As a woman with more honors and awards than can be listed, Beverly LaHaye raised her family before tackling the broader problems of society. Since then, she has become a best-selling author and an activist respected by friends and foe alike for her principled stands on issues; stands that are based on her commitment to both sound scholarship and a solid biblical foundation. No one is better qualified to be honored by having an institute carry her name than Beverly LaHaye. No one is better qualified to speak on behalf of women than Mrs. LaHaye and the Beverly LaHaye Institute. (c) beverlylahayeinstitute.org
