Francine Rivers

Francine was named to the
Romance Writers of America (RWA) Hall of Fame in 1997. She
has won awards for her books that range from Golden Medallions
to Silver Pens. But Francine cares most about people--her
husband, Rick (married over 30 years), her grown children
Trevor (married to Jenny), Shannon (married to Richard Coibion),
and Travis (married to Katie). In addition, her grandchildren,
Brendan, Andrea and William, keep Francine and Rick feeling
young at heart.
Francine and Rick Rivers
live in Northern California and own a family business, but
Francine tries to write almost full time. She published
a number of novels in the general romance market until 1993,
when she released her first book in the "Christian"
book market with Tyndale House Publishers. The Mark of the
Lion series has sold half a million copies, and her total
book sales are over one million.
Her fifth and final book
in the Lineage of Grace series, Unafraid, is now
in stores. (c) www.francinerivers.com/aboutme
People have been telling
me for quite some time that I just have to read books by
Francine Rivers. A stubborn part of me refused to pick up
a book by an author who was so popular already, but I finally
gave in when a friend lent me Atonement Child.
I am so impressed with this complex and compassionate story
that I will be way more eager to pick up another, should
I come across an opportunity to read more of Francine Rivers'
books. Because I have only read this one by Francine, I
provide a link to my review but have chosen just to list
her other books below for reference for interested readers.
