Junie B. Jones is a favourite character in my grade 2 classroom! These books by Barbara Park are animated and full of silly antics and mysterious problems. The language is geared towards the newly independent reader but is also great for a read-a-loud chapter book. They are a great length for beginning chapter book readers clocking in at about 60 pages each. I have found that boys and girls both like these adorable books, but it is usually the girls who are buying the sets and making sure their library is full and up-to-date with the Junie B. Jones latest. You won't go wrong checking out these great books. They also come in gift sets and I don't know a better gift to give than books!
