This is a really delightful
little book with a huge story of love and forgivenss centered
around spring, new life, and forgiveness. Adults will understand
the allegory of Easter and the miracle of the risen Christ,
who was forgotten, unappreciated, despised, until he was
crucified and then rose again with new life.
The pictures are lovely
to gaze at, the story is delightful and realistically depicts
the feelings and actions of a young child. I appreciated
the scripture verses included on each page which will provide
a spring pad for more discussions with my children once
they are a little older and able to understand more fully.
I am completely impresses by this book and will definitely
look for more of the Parable series by Liz Curtis Higgs!
They are perfect for young children between the ages of
1-8 years of age! My particular version is a board book
- perfect for grubby little fingers that are just learning
to turn pages!
