Jay Jay the Jet Plane is a popular series published by Tommy Nelson Publishers (a division of Thomas Nelson). It is based on the popular children's series produced by Porchlight Entertainment and Modern Cartoons, Ltd. The characters in this delightful series were created by David and Deborah Michel. There is also a video series made from the books as well.

Sharing Together is the first book I've seen of this series. It contains very simple text which is easy for young children to understand. The illustrations are bright and colourful, appealing to young children. It is made of sturdy board book material with firm pages, making it easy for a toddler to read by him/herself. It is also tear proof which is a big plus when sharing books with toddlers!!

Sharing Together is based on Luke 6:30 and each page reinforces the concept of sharing with others throughout your day, whatever it is you are doing or whenever you are doing it. I would have liked to have seen concrete examples of sharing for young children to relate to such as sharing a snack, sharing a toy, etc., but other than that one consideration, I think the book is delightful and I would be willing to share others in this series with my 18 month old son. It is rare to find children's books based on the Bible so this series is a definite hit in my home!!
