This is an absolutely awesome book that had me crying tears of joy at the end of it!!! It is considered a classic by Max Lucado and now I understand why!! It depicts a father telling his children that God created them, God loves them, and that he, their father, loves them so much as well. The father assures his son and daughter that he will always be there to hug them, encourage them, and comfort them in times of pain or difficulty. He assures them of the promise of Heaven where there will be no pain or sadness and where they will spend eternity in a hug with God. The illustrations depict the lives of these children as they grow and it definitely touched a tender spot in my heart as I thought of my own son growing through the years. It is a wonderful book for children and adults alike! We all need reasurances that God loves us and is there for us just like a parent - in fact, better than a parent. I HIGHLY recommend this book to every Christian parent and their children!!!!!
