Against All Odds
By Irene Hannon
I REALLY enjoyed this book! I am a big fan of Dee Henderson and when I saw that she endorsed this book, I knew I was in for a good read.
The beginning started right away with an introduction to the threat coming from terrorists. This is the main theme throughout the book and the author manages to keep the mystery and suspense going along throughout the novel.
An introduction to the main characters in the story is also forthcoming in the first few pages. We see a little into David Callahan's character, as well as into the two FBI partners, Coop and Mark and Monica Callahan in the first two chapters.
My one disappointment was the purely physical attraction between the two and some of the descriptions. I found myself saying "oh, come on. This is cheesy." It rankled me throughout the book to an small extent as well.
However, the relationship really developed well throughout the novel - much more indepth than many characters you find in novels.
The twists and turns, double takes, and terrorist activities within the novel kept me turning one page after another. Near the end of the book, I was very annoyed whenever someone interrupted me as I was so into it!
I would definitely encourage you to go out and read this book. I don't think you will be disappointed!
