This is a realistic piece of fiction depicting the lives of two people as they struggle through the difficulties of every day life.  Each person has their own particular struggles arising from unfortunate events in their lives.  Irene Delany, a divorced single mother, must deal with her own loneliness and the shocking news of the death of her ex-husband.  Joel Costain, a successful attorney who has been blind from birth, finds himself drawn up into the affairs of Irene and her ex-husband, and is intent on finding the murderer.  Before the story is finished, both Irene and Joel, will be considered suspects and will have their lives threatened by an unknown person.  This is a charming love story set among deceit, murder, mystery, and the search for lost family members.  I enjoyed it and would gladly recommend it.  It was an encouraging glance into the life of a person who has successfully lived with what could have been a debilitating absence of sight.  It was uplifting and encouraging.
