This book is a little treat you can fit into your busy schedule. It's the story of a young family whose faith in God impacts their world. As eight-year-old Gideon, her parents and younger brother face her terrible disease, a homeless man battles the depression that comes from the loss of his family and his hope. Gideon meets him at the homeless shelter where her family volunteers and reaches out to him only to be rejected by his bitterness. But Gideon's heart is in tune with the angels, and as she obeys, she starts a flame of faith that spreads miracles all around. This novel is a heart-warmer; it reminds you that "the impossible" isn't so.
I'm really looking forward to reading Kingsbury's true stories of real-life miracles: A Treasury of Christmas Miracles and A Treasury of Miracles for Women.
