A young woman awakens
in an Oregon hospital with a broken and bruised body
and no memory of the past or how she came to be at
this hospital. She remembers how to speak, old sitcoms
on tv, daily living essentials, but does not know
her own name or any details of her past. Feeling forgotten
and abandoned in her hospital bed, a woman appears
who claims she is the family housekeeper. She takes
Kat home and gives her lessons in "Kat Cavenaugh
101". Hoping that familiar territory will jar
her memory, Kat convelesces at her family ranch. She
soon learns that her personality has changed since
the accident and she is no longer the spiteful, mean-spirited,
and sophisticated Kat the model that most people remember
her as. She soon develops a relationship with the
handsome neighbour only to discover that she is apparently
engaged to a fashion photographer back in New York.
Kat soon discovers that all is not as it appears.
She questions whether she really is Kat the model.
Suddenly, facts don't seem to add up. She wonders
if her very life is in danger. Whom can she trust?
This novel is full
of suspense and msytery. The author weaves romance
and budding love throughout the novel and the reader
delights in this new, and tentave relationship developing
between the handsome neighbour and this "forgotten"
girl. I was sold hook, line and sinker for the whole
novel and couldn't put it down until the end! I heartily
recommend this book for any lover of Christian romance
novels!!
