Mountains, Memories & Mistletoe
Janet Lee Barton
Kathleen Miller
I really enjoyed Mountains, Memories & Mistletoe. It is a collection of two novellas about finding romantic love at Christmas time. I found the novellas to be engaging, light and romantic - the perfect respite from the busy Christmas season. I particularly enjoyed the first novella "Making Memories" by Janet Lee Barton.
Book Cover:
Granny Forrester's Ozark Mountain home exemplifies everything Christmas - but for cousins Amanda and Casey Forrester, it also seems to include a gentle family lecture about remaining single.
This year Amanda decides to drag her neighbor Josh along as a "date" for the holidays to avoid her family's matchmaking attempts. Even in the midst of a killer blizzard, will either risk a good friendship to declare their love?
Casey faints on the job, is rescued by her boss's son, and embarks on a whirlwind romance. But when it comes down to a choice between keeping her job, winning Ben Callahan, or going home for Christmas, what will her heart tell her to do?
Can Amanda, the reluctant Realtor, and Casey, the wacky window dresser, find love and happiness at Christmas when they tote their romantic interests along to the family gathering? (c) Mountains, Memories & Mistletoe, 2006
I have one problem with the above book description: Casey does not "faint" on the job, but rather curls up and falls asleep. Whoever writes the back cover descriptions needs to pay more attention to details.
