This is my first encounter with author Bette Nordberg and her novel, Pacific Hope. I was impressed with this well-written novel that engaged me and made me empathize with the main character, Kate. It is so well written that it scared me and motivated me to reflect on my own marriage in order to prevent its' demise in some tangible way. The main character, Kate, is a strong woman who must deal with her husband's infidelity and try to decide if she can learn to trust him once again. In this process, she learns to lean on God and trust Him to be the ultimate Healer of broken hearts and broken marriages. This is a really great read that any married woman would empathize with. It deals with every woman's fear of discovering that she and her husband have grown apart, to the extent that her husband chooses to have an affair with another woman. I guarantee you will hurt along with Kate and wrestle with the issues she deals with in this book. You may or may not agree with her ultimate decision in the end. Read this awesome book to find out how the Master Healer can work in a broken relationship.
