"Brides of the West" series, June. This is
a light hearted romance set in the historical period of the
late 1800's when mail order brides were a popular and necessary
phenomenon to populare the ever-expanding west. June, and
her two sisters, Faith and Hope, have each travelled to a
different state to meet a waiting husband, trusting that God
would have His best for the in their new lives. June travels
all the way to Seattle, expecting her intended husband to
be waiting for her to join their lives in ministry with the
evangelist, Isaac Inman. However, within days of arriving,
June's intended dies. She is left in an unfamiliar place trying
to decide what she should do with her life. If it weren't
for Parker Sentell, she probably would have headed "home"
before now. But that man had the irritating ability to bring
out the fight in her....
This was the first book
I read in this series and I will definitely be seeking out
the other three books! I found them light, fun, and entertaining
to read. I recommend them to anyone who enjoys a light romance
set in the West during the 1800's.
