Little Farm Down the Lane

The Little Farm Down the Lane series is a delightful collection of stories from the author's own childhood. Set in Pennsylvania during the 1940's and 1950's, the stories begin in book one revolving around preschool aged, Bonnie, and the many adventures she gets involved in around the farm. The stories, and the manner in which they are told, are certainly reminiscient of my favourite farm stories from Little House on the Prairie. Each of the stories also weaves a character or morality lesson throughout it as well.

Little Farm Down the Lane is a light, enjoyable read and would likely be a hit amongst the small set as a read-aloud or for those who are reading fluently as in ages 8+. I dare say that adults would enjoy the read as well. I heartily recommend these wholesome, Christian Values-based books.
