In the same genre as The Wedding Dress
and With This Ring, author Marian Wells brings history and
fiction together in a powerful novel of light and darkness,
truth and falsehood, good and evil. Jenny, living in the frontier
districts of New York and Ohio in the early 1800's, is a bright
and unusually inquisitive young girl. Though surrounded by
poverty, enduring abuse by a drunken father, and in spite
of limited schooling and spiritual guidance, curious and quick-minded
Jenny reaches out for something different. The window out
of her restricted life is the world of books. The green-covered
one, her father's forbidden book, holds an overwhelming fascination
for her. Will Jenny Find Truth, or Is She on a Dangerous Road
With No End in Sight? (c) Amazon.com
I enjoyed each of the books in the Starlight
Trilogy. Much of the reason I enjoyed them so much was that
I grew up in a Mormon populated area and am always interested
in knowing more about the Mormon religion. I found these books
to be stark in their realism, and at times, emotional. If
you like reading about the Mormons, I am sure you'll want
to check out these books by Marian Wells.

best-selling author Marian Wells continues Jenny's story with
the sequel to THE WISHING STAR. Jenny's search for truth and
for power to control her own destiny continues even into her
marriage to the young lawyer, Mark Cartwright. Her happiness
and security with Mark are often shadowed by dark thoughts
and frightening memories. The very beliefs which seemed to
have brought them together are now pulling them apart - Light
and darkness, truth and falsehood, good and evil will Jenny

The sequel to STAR LIGHT, STAR BRIGHT
and the completion of Jenny's search for truth. Out of her
dark childhood memories, her fascination with the spirit world
and her conversion to Mormonism, Jenny has been slowly but
surely groping toward spiritual light and truth. Her young
husband Mark has gone through his own sometimes painful spiritual
journey and has discovered the true way of faith. His consistent
witness brings Jenny to the ultimate choice: spiritual bondage
or bowing her knee at the feet of the only true "Morning Star."
Historical fiction in the best sense accurate setting, powerful
characters and compelling truth. (c) Amazon.com
