In the much anticipated sequel to Arabian Nights, Lions of the Desert promises much in the way of mystery, intrigue, and romance. Allison Wescott finds herself volunteering as a nurse in the “War to end all Wars”. It is the Arabian desert, 1915. Allison is once again working alongside her fiancée, Wade Finlay, as she endures battlefield fighting that scars her impressionable mind. The reappearance of British Intelligence Officer Bret Holden shakes her plans as once again he rescues her just in time. On a much needed medical leave in Cairo, Allison finds herself caught up in a web of intrigue involving an unexplainable murder, search for treasure and frightening encounters with people Allison has trusted without question for years. Underlying all this is the rising passion between Allison and Bret Holden. This story of faith, love, and intrigue does not disappoint as I enjoyed every page of it. It is one I recommend with enthusiasm and waited impatiently for the third in this series, Valiant Hearts.
