Ahhh. The sigh of satisfaction at the end of a well written novel. What a great novel! Over the Edge continues the story of the Kinkaid brothers and their wives. This latest novel continues the story of Seth and his quest to fight his personal demons and to get to know the woman he apparently married when recovering from war wounds in the veteran hospital. Add to that the horrific experience he had in the caves where he is close to falling over the edge again and again. The characters are colourful including strong women, honorable men and even colourful “bad guys”. The plot is also peppered with good old western action and vivid descriptions. Over the Edge is layered with various story lines from Seth Kinkaid and his personal demons to his newly found brother and then to the discovery and search for diamonds. The romance and focus on family was fresh and engaging as it has been in past books in this series.
