Steve Bennett has written more than fifty-five books in the fields of parenting, business management, and family computing, including Kick the Tv Habit, Kids' Answers to Life's Big Questions, Cabin Fever, Waiting Games, The Tokyo Chronicles, Team Zebra, and the forthcoming Raising Children in the Electronic Age.

Ruth Loetterle Bennett is a landscape architect. She has designed parks, playgrounds, and other public places in a number of cities in the United States. Ruth and Steve live with their two children, Audrey and Noah, in their home-based TV-free activity laboratory. Their TV set lives in the closet. (c) Adams Media Corporation

An updated edition of the popular parenting guide presents hundreds of quick and easy family-centered play activities for every day of the year, with a new section that explains how parents can make learning fun. Original. (c) Amazon.com

This is another book that is full of creative ideas to do together with your child instead of plunking down in front of the TV for some meaningless veg time. Not all TV is bad, ofcourse, but this book gives you so many great ideas that you won't want to turn the tube back on! It is geared towards elementary school aged children, but has many new activities for middle school and older children as well. A great choice for heading into the summer or facing the long dreary winter!
